Building Up for the Games

With the Vancouver Winter Olympics mere days away and the city actually starting to get a bit of buzz going on, we decided to break out a couple of our faves as a treat leading up to the Games.

358. 2002 Burrowing Owl Syrah (VQA Okanagan Valley)

359. 2005 Orofino Pinot Noir (Similkameen Valley)

Both wineries have been featured in the blog on and The List, but we always look forward to opening a bottle from either of them. They actually have to be a bit of "treat" since both of them come in at $30 or more and both can be difficult to find - short of restaurant wine lists or buying directly from the winery as soon as the current vintage of wines are released.

Luckily, we had these two though.
